The first step in any business is research. You need to know what people want before you can sell them anything. If you don't have a niche, then you're going to struggle to make money online. How much traffic are they getting? Are their websites optimized for search engines? These questions help you narrow down your focus and get started.

Keyword Research

Once you've got a good idea of what people want, you need to figure out what keywords they're using to find those things. There are lots of keyword tools out there, but I recommend SEMRush.com. It's free to use and gives you tons of information about keywords including global searches, competition, CPC (cost per click), and volume. Once you know what keywords you should target, you'll need to decide if you want to go after broad match keywords (like "fitness equipment") or exact match keywords ("gym shoes"). Broad match tends to give you higher rankings in general, but it may not convert as well. Exact match is more targeted and will tend to rank higher, but it won't show up as often in SERPs.

Domain Name Selection

You'll probably want to register several different domain names for each product you plan on selling. That way, if one name gets taken, you still have options. When choosing your domains, try to pick ones that are short, relevant, and descriptive. Short names are easier to type and remember, while longer names provide more opportunity for creativity. Relevant names will help customers understand what the site is about. Descriptive names tell potential buyers what the website does without being boring.

Website Creation

Now that you've chosen your domains, you'll need to build websites for each one. Try to keep the design simple and clean. Include plenty of images and videos to catch visitors' attention. Use SEO best practices like adding alt text for images, using H tags for headings, and linking back to your home page. Also, make sure that you only link to pages on your own sites!

Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing is a great way to promote your website. Share links to your social media profiles in blogs and forums related to your niche. Comment on others' blogs and reply to customer reviews. Respond to negative comments and praise positive ones. Engage with your followers and let them know you value their opinions.

Email Marketing

Email marketing is another great way to promote your business. You can send emails to your subscribers to notify them of sales, special offers, events, etc. Make sure you choose a service that provides tracking software to ensure you follow up successfully.

Content Promotion

Content promotion is similar to email marketing. Create content that helps users solve problems, answers questions, or simply entertains. Then share it on social media and place it on other websites. Don't just post your content everywhere -- make sure you add links back to your site and engage with other bloggers.
